Kate Middleton covered up her baby bump in a chic maroon mini dress as she attended the School Leaders Forum on Nov. 8. The event was organized by her charity, Place2Be, in London, where she opened up about taking her son, Prince George, 4, to school.
When George attended his first day of school Kate noticeably absent from the photos, and it was because of her hyperemesis gravidarum, a case of severe morning sickness that she also endured during her first two pregnancies.
As the Duchess is now in her second trimester and has resumed royal duties, she also resumed mommy duty–which entails school pick-ups and drop-offs for the little prince! She shares: “As a mother, just getting used to leaving my own child at the school gates, it is clear to me that it takes a whole community to help raise a child. Whether we are school leavers, teachers, support staff or parents we are all in this together.”
Kate rocked a long-sleeved GOAT mini, (which retails for $640), with a pair of black opaque tights and black pumps for the occasion. The flowing dress allowed her to conceal her bump and gave off a comfortable, chic appearance–and we would expect nothing less from the stylish royal.
In fact it wasn’t the only stylish frock Kate rocked this week. Just the day before she hosted a party for a charity at Kensington Palace, where she showed off a lovely lace Diane Von Furstenberg gown. She recycled the lace dress she first wore in 2014, when she was pregnant to Princess Charlotte. The form-fitting frock showed off a slight hint of Kate’s baby bump as she wore her short hair in soft curls that framed her face.
Whether she’s showing off a new dress or recycling one of her favorites, Kate’s chic maternity style never lets us down. Check out more of her stylish pregnancy looks here.
